About Us

Healthcare Life Safety Consultants LLC is a fully insured, licensed Life Safety Compliance and Disaster Training Consulting Firm. We cater to all sectors of industry, with specialized skills in Ambulatory Surgery Centers.

My name is Anthony Riehl — I am a Professional Deputy Fire Chief with over 23 years of experience. I'm a New Jersey State Licensed Fire Inspector, Emergency Services Instructor, Level 3 Incident Manager, Safety Officer, and NFPA Certified Life Safety Specialist for Healthcare Facilities.

We take a two-pronged approach to disaster preparedness and facility compliance:

First, through training — we train your staff to safely mitigate disasters with Fire Drills and Extinguisher training using the state-of-the-art Bullex Bullseye fire simulator, Disaster Drills, Evacuation Drills, and Fire Safety/Prevention Training. From fires to gas leaks to active shooter, HLS takes a muscle memory approach:

Second, through preparation — we assist in keeping your facility in continuous compliance between surveys and inspections. We provide or review Emergency Preparedness Programs for CMS CFC compliance, inspect and assess your facility for safety and compliance with the Life Safety Code, CMS Appendix L & Z, OSHA 1910.157(g), N.J.A.C. 8:43A, and the New Jersey State Fire Code. Mock surveys are strongly urged when preparing for DOH, CMS, Joint Commission, AAAHC, AAAASF, OSHA and Municipal fire inspections. All deficiencies are explained with a correction plan.
